This iPhone app is intended for residents, fellows, and physicians who perform arthrograms and fluoroscopy-guided spinal injections. It is the result of more than 25 years of experience in performing and teaching these procedures.

About the Authors

Marta Oñate Miranda, MD

Marta Oñate Miranda earned an M.D. degree at the University of Valladolid, Spain, and completed her radiology residency at the University Hospital La Paz, Madrid, Spain. She then pursued a clinical fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention at the radiology department of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), Canada. She worked as a radiologist at the University Hospitals La Paz, Madrid, and Río Hortega, Valladolid, Spain. Currently, Dr Oñate Miranda is a faculty member of the radiology department of the Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé de l’Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. She is the author of several scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals.

Nathalie J. Bureau MD, MSc, FRCPC

Nathalie J Bureau is a professor of radiology and clinical scientist at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. She earned an M.D. degree and completed her residency at the University of Montreal. She then pursued a clinical fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention at the University of Virginia, followed by a M.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Montreal. Since the beginning of her career, Dr Bureau has been actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows and has supervised several postgraduate students. Dr Bureau’s research focuses on quantitative imaging of tendon disorders, assessment of mechanical properties of musculoskeletal tissues and therapeutic image-guided interventions. She is a member of the International Skeletal Society and she served as Chair of the Musculoskeletal Community of Practice board at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine from 2015 to 2017.
